With service capabilities across the U.S., today we are well positioned to help clients grow and succeed in the rapidly evolving energy and renewables sectors.

Five Decades of Exceptional Service
The Shermco story began in 1974 with a motor shop in Dallas, Texas. Our company founder, Pete Sherman, got his start repairing 400-cycle generators for aircraft that flew tours in Vietnam. Pete used to tell the story that, at one point, likely every B52 in the U.S. fleet had a generator serviced by Shermco. As his reputation for exceptional quality and personal service grew, Pete was able to expand his business by meeting the evolving needs of industrial clients in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Single-job clients developed into long-term partners, and Shermco grew over the years to become a nationwide leader in electrical services.
Evolving Into a New Era
In 2000, we moved into a new 110,000 square-foot motor services facility. Once we increased our capacity for large-scale work, we set our sights on expanding our capabilities into the growing renewable energy sector. With our decades of experience with motor repair, it was a natural fit to offer turbine generator remanufacturing services for the wind industry. From there, we broadened our capabilities into a robust offering of wind field services by combining areas of strength and expertise across our company.
